December E-mini S&Ps (ESZ14 +0.24%) this morning are up +0.18% and European stocks are up +0.99% at a 1-3/4 month high after German business confidence unexpectedly rose for the first time in 7 months.

Fluor has a negative Net ROIC but positive future in the industrial and energy construction markets. Hefty contract backlog supports several years worth of revenues.

Shares of Chicago Bridge & Iron rose about 4.7% after the company reported third-quarter 2014 results on Oct 23. Adjusted earnings of $1.51 per share surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.39 per share by 8.63%.

Britain and the US seem to be riding high but there are major political risks what with Russia and Israel. London is full of Russki oligarchs upon which its economy depends. The US needs to unhook its politics from Israeli excess, if only so both countries can hold their heads up.
