The controversial $8 billion project, skillfully delayed for years by U.S. President Barack Obama, would transport oil sands crude from Canada to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

The federal government’s EIA report revealed that crude inventories jumped by 5.02 million barrels for the week ending Oct 3, 2014, more than expected.

Insider buying increased last week with insiders purchasing $151.76 million of their stock compared to $64.80 million in the week prior. Selling also increased with insiders selling $1.37 billion of stock last week compared to $876.61 million in the week prior.
