Inflation surged 6.8% in November, more than expected, the fastest rate since 1982. The latest government inflation report was released this morning, and good lord was it a big one. As even using the government’s ‘generous’ accounting, the November CPI came in at 6.8%

More than 4% above the Fed’s 2% mandate. And just the latest evidence of the obvious, that the current bout of inflation has zero chance of being transitory, and in fact it never did.
