The Story. Chances are that many readers probably have not heard of a giant e-commerce known as Alibaba, scheduled to conduct an initial investor meeting on Tuesday, September 8. Moreover, the stock will begin to trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on September 18. Commonly referred to as the Chinese EBay (NASDAQ: EBAY), Alibaba can potentially surpass both Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) and Agricultural Bank of China (HKG: 1288) as the largest initial public offering (IPO) in stocks' history.
