Explosive Growth Of 565% On IOS And 400% An Android. IOS Leads In Revenues

Inneractive, the mobile industry’s leading SSP, saw its largest growth in both iOS and Android traffic in 2013. While the two app stores are pretty much equal on the number of apps they offer, the engagement those apps receive and the publisher revenue they generate are far from equal.

Comparing the two mobile platforms, Inneractive saw an impressive growth in both cases, but a much larger boost in Android traffic with a 565% increase in Android ad requests in 2013. iOS ad requests increased by 400%. Another growing vertical is tablets, with 20% of total ad requests with Android slightly heading iOS.

However, when drilling down and taking a closer look at the revenue generated for its publishers and how buyers are allocating their spends from the two platforms, Inneractive found that while Android publisher revenue increased by an impressive 315% annually, iOS publisher revenue saw a boost of 364% despite its smaller growth in traffic. In other words, each iOS impression is worth more to the buyer and is generating 6.22x eCPM than an Android impression.

Offer Yehudai, President and Co-Founder of Inneractive explained “We were not surprised to see how users are more engaged on iOS than Android, being as many analysts have been reporting this for a while. What’s interesting to see is how RTB is pushing iOS impression value higher and higher with almost 2x more bidders competing vs. on Android traffic in public and private marketplaces.”

Inneractive continues to offer mobile publishers on all platforms a comprehensive solution to better monetize apps using programmatic video, hyper local advertising, and collaboration with leading real time bidding partners.
