Apple Wins China Regulatory Approval, But…

According to Xinhua, China’s official news agency, Apple has passed another hurdle to getting iPhones on the shelves and in the hands of Chinese customers. But Apple is not quite at the finish line, as they still have to get a network access license to get on mainland China.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I noticed an inordinate number of Chinese people in line waiting for an iPhone 6. My guess is that some of them are paid to wait in line, and then send the phones back to China for those willing to pay an extreme premium for being the first with an iPhone 6. Just my guess, no other objective evidence.
