They also are partnered with Steph Curry who looks to be the next big thing in the NBA. Curry choosing UA when seemingly every other athlete signs with either Nike or Adidas is also a big win for UA. If they can retain Curry and make it as one of the leading basketball shoes, that could generate enormous revenue for them. Of course, if they ever do get big in the basketball industry, they will have Curry to thank for that.

An “Owner’s Manual” For A Successful Life

Interesting perspective. I myself have always wondered what happened to leave some countries seemingly so far behind in terms of advancement. It seems their lag is a snowball effect compounding over the course of years; as opposed to one pivotal moment in history that proves to be the cause.

Will Drone Usage Hurt Amazon?

I can't see the drones being successful. As you mentioned, with the safety concerns in this day and age it just doesn't seem feasible. On top of that delivery confirmations will be next to impossible with so many variables. I can definitely see the drones being shot down as a way for people to steal.

Will Bitcoin Ever Be Consistent?

Increased transparency in Bitcoin would defeat the original purpose of its creation and the vision held by Satoshi. Changing the name to mtMOX is almost certainly a terribly marketing strategy. And lastly, when you reference a close above $400; what do you consider a close when a market is open 24/7 and never truly closes?

Rise Of The Robots

It was a guaranteed income experiment performed in Canada in the 70s to measure its impact on the labor force participation rate. It's a pretty interesting concept that I think should be examined on a broader spectrum.

Rise Of The Robots

The solution to robots as labor replacement: Mincome. Otherwise low-skilled workers will just have to learn how to build the robots that will eventually replace them in the other jobs they would be doing. Actually, robots will probably be used to build the new robots..how ironic. Not just low skilled workers, but technology might render some skilled workers obsolete- such as actuaries. Every industry may soon be filled with Luddites..

Interesting read! What would happen if you lose your card or forget your pub key? I used Google 2FA and when I lost my phone it was a pain to try and get back my codes because for some reason my cell phone provider was having issues supplying me with a SIM card with the same exact number as my previous device. Sometimes added security comes at a cost of greater annoyances, but for things like financial data it's worth taking the extra step.

Unemployment By Education

The data seems logical to me. If further education did not yield higher employment rates, fewer would pursue higher education. Would be curious to see the number broken down further into categories quantifying job quality and things of that nature. I appreciated the article.

Apple Is Headed To Court Over Missing Text Messages
9 years ago

This actually happened to a friend of mine when he switched over from an iPhone to Android. It took him forever to figure out why he wasn't receiving any text messages. No idea that this could be something to potentially sue over. It seems these days everyone is eager to file a lawsuit.
