Bruce Berkowitz’s Fairholme Capital Management LLC exited its common-stock investments in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the third quarter.

This is a classic example of Wall St. not taking the time to delineate between the two cases. This has caused $FNMA $FNMAS to sell off over the last few days.
