September Same-Store Sales for Fred's Inc. look fairly positive and, in my opinion, should drive both full-year earnings and its share price to much higher levels.

September E-mini S&Ps (ESU14 +0.29%) this morning are up +0.28% at a record high on optimism over the U.S. economic outlook and European stocks are up +0.32%.

The five-year treasury yield hit a multi-year high relative to the average of the two- and the ten-year rates.

Discount retailer Tuesday Morning (TUES: $16/share) is in the Danger Zone this week. Brick and mortar stores continue to struggle against the onslaught of online retailers, and TUES is not positioned well to meet this challenge.
